The famed sanitation ambassador of Chhattisgarh, 106-yr-old Kunwar Bai breathed her last in the Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial hospital.

She had been admitted in the Raipur hospital after she fell ill in home town of Dhamtari.

She had earlier been admitted in Dhamtari hospital but was later referred to the Raipur referral medical institution.

Even Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh had inquired into the health of the Kunwar Bai.

He had back then also insisted that the hospital management takes good care of the ailing Kunwar Bai.

Kunwar Bai had shot into fame after news reports that she had sold off her goats to construct toilet.

The initiative had been felicitated by none less than Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself.

The news of the death of Kunwar Bai was also confirmed by hospital authorities.
