Website instituted; to study Indo-Pak cross-fire

provocations are mostly on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir region

In a new initiative, a website named ‘Indo-Pak Conflict Monitor’ has been instituted to monitor ceasefire violations by Pakistan.

The website was launched in the national capital on Saturday.

The initiative is aimed at an independent research initiative to monitor ceasefire violations, conflict patterns, and escalation dynamics between two neighbours.

The provocations are mostly on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir region and this will be observed on a daily basis.

A New Delhi based columnist and commentator Dr Happymon Jacob will be directing the project.

It is also said that there will be attempts to make policy recommendations for the Indian and Pakistani governments so that they can reduce ceasefire violations.

The advisory board of the website includes two retired army officers and one former Pakistani Army general.
