NITI Aayog chief executive officer Amitabh Kant held a courtesy meet with the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh at the latter’s residence.
Kant also toured around the education city of Dantewada and had all the praise for initiative that is towards the education of the tribal students.
Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh himself told the visiting dignitary that Dantewada has become a model of sorts for the development in the tribal areas.
Dr Singh also informed the NITI Aayog CEO that lot of work towards the connectivity and health provisions have been done in these tribal and remote locales of the state.
He specifically mentioned how Pota Cabin mechanism has been developed to provide education in naxal afflicted areas of the state.
He said that it is this mechanism that led to many getting selected in Union Public Service Commission and Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission.
Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included Aman Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary of the Chief Minister, Secretary Subodh Singh and Special Secretary Mukesh Bansal.
