With the culmination of four years of rule of the Narendra Modi led government, Chhattisgarh Congress took to recounting the series of failures of the incumbent government.
This is sharp contrast to the BJP which is trying to propagate the successes of the Modi government over its four years tenure in office.
Congress leader PL Punia alleged that Narendra Modi government has only made tall promises but could not deliver on them.
Punia termed the government to have cheated the masses with the promises.
He recalled the promise of the Modi government to double the income of the farmers which could not be achieved.
He added that farmers are in dire situation and are deep in debt, which is quite the opposite to what the government had promised.
Punia also pointed to how the insurance companies are benefiting rather than the farmers through the crop insurance scheme and that the underprivileged are at a severe loss because much of their payments under the MGNREGS is pending.
The Congress leader said that there is no mention of return of black money from abroad which the BJP had claimed prior to winning the 2014 national election.
The other failure of the central government is of rising fuel prices which the government has failed to control and provide respite to the masses.
Punia went ahead and said that while the central probe agencies are being abused against the political rivals, certain others have been overlooked for their wrongs.
Congress Incharge of Chhattisgarh said that Non Performing Assets of the banks are increasing and have reached to alarming levels.>
