30 ambulances gifted by India to reach Bangladesh

They will enter into Benapole land port in Bangladesh once the border formalities are completed.

Thirty ambulances gifted by India to Bangladesh arrived at the Petrapole land port on Thursday.

They will enter into Benapole land port in Bangladesh once the border formalities are completed. The ambulances constitute the first lot of 109 Life Support ambulances gifted during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 26-27 to Bangladesh to participate in the golden jubilee celebration of the liberation of Bangladesh.

The gift of the ambulances from India to Bangladesh is part of the shared effort to contain the COVID 19 pandemic in Bangladesh and help in enhancing health care facilities in the country. The gift from India reflects India’s commitment towards assisting the fraternal people of Bangladesh.

The remaining ambulances are also expected to reach Bangladesh by the end of September.
