6 arrested under Arms Act

Raipur: Six persons have been arrested under Arms Act from separate police station areas of the city during last 24- hours. The first one, identified as Subhankar Patel, was arrested by Khamardih police station from Kachna Housing Board colony after he was nabbed red-handed terrorising the locals armed with a knife.

The next one, identified as Amit Bhalkar, was arrested by Azad Chowk police from Tatyapara Chowk after he was nabbed red-handed terrorising the locals armed with a knife. The third one, identified as Ganesh Khatri, was arrested by Rajendra Nagar police from Amlidih BSUP Colony after he was nabbed red-handed terrorising the locals armed with a knife.

The fourth one, identified as Suraj Sahu, was arrested by Tikrapara police from near Santoshi Nagar chowk after he was nabbed red-handed terrorising the locals armed with a knife. All four of them were later booked under Section 25, 27 of Arms Act by respective police stations. The final two, identified as Mohammad Wakil and Tikamdas Makinpuri, were also arrested by Tikrapara police from near Chhattisgarh Nagar ground and from near Sarjubandha pond respectively, after being nabbed possessing a knife apiece. Both of them were later booked under Section 25 of Arms Act.
