Akali Dal leader Manjit Singh assaulted by mob in US

New Delhi.

Akali Dal leader Manjit Singh GK was attacked by a mob outside a gurdwara in California.

Singh, who is also the president of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC), told a news agency, "I was attacked by more than 20 people, these people have not even kept the dignity of a gurdwara."

According to sources, his face was also blackened outside a gurdwara in Yuba City. In a video, some people can be seen punching and pushing him which also led to the falling of his turban. The police have arrested three people in connection with this incident. Singh and his family were earlier attacked in New York on August 21 by some Khalistan supporters.

Later, he had tweeted saying such attacks will not scare him from working for his community.
