Three girls in Pakistan’s Punjab province suffered acid attack and the reason being cited is that one of the girl had refused a marriage proposal from her uncle.
Police probing the incident said that the accused uncle is presently absconding and there is also a friend who is being seen as an accomplice who has gone missing.
The three girls includes a sister duo.
The three of them are friends and varsity students were standing at a bus stop in Dang district of Gujrat in the morning when the men arrived on a motorcycle and hurled acid on the girls.
The girls suffered burns on their face and arms and were admitted to a hospital, police said.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Inspector General of Police Arif Nawaz have sought a detailed report of the case.>
