Bhima Koregaon Violence: 3 Activists to be Produced in the Court today

Pune police to seek the custody of arrested activists Varavara Rao, Vernon Gonzalves and Arun Ferreira. They are likely to be produced in a Pune sessions court on Wednesday, 29 August.

Sudha Bharadwaj and Gautam Navalakha, who were arrested in Delhi, are not likely to be moved to Pune as their transit remand was rejected.

Maharashtra police on Tuesday, 28 August raided the homes of prominent Left-wing activists in several states and arrested at least five of them for suspected Maoist links, sparking a chorus of outraged protests from human rights defenders.
