Widely seen as rebel within the ruling BJP, the actor turned politician Shatrughan Sinha, also a BJP Member of Parliament from Patna Sahib, announced that he would vote against the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha.

However, he also used the opportunity to take potshots and termed it an opportunity to wash dirty linen in public.

The actor turned politician said that he looks forward to the contest between Rahul Gandhi vs Narendra Modi.

It need be mentioned that the Shatrughan Sinha has been critical of the Modi government and party leadership for quite some time.

Sinha has also been quite vocal about his support for many Opposition leaders including convicted RJD chief Lalu Prasad and his son Tejashwi Yadav.

The BJP has issued whip to all party MPs asking them to be present and vote against the no-confidence motion on July 20.
