Administration gears up for reopening of Sabarimala temple in Kerala

preparations are in wake of the fact that Supreme Court has allowed entry of women of all ages to the temple

The Sabarimala temple in Kerala is yet to open and this time, the local administration has made preparations.

The preparations are in wake of the fact that Supreme Court has allowed entry of women of all ages to the temple.

The temple is to reopen its gates on Monday.

But the fears of violence and protests by right-wing activists remain.

The administration has thus imposed restrictions prohibiting the assembly of four or more people.

The order has been enforced across Elavunkal, Nilakkal, Pamba and Sannidhanam until Tuesday midnight.

Meanwhile, it is also said that as many as 1500 police officers have been deployed in and around the pilgrimage site.

Besides policemen, a 20-member commando team has also been deployed at Sannidhanam, Nilakkal and Pamba.
