The admission process for Chhattisgarh schools and colleges are expected to begin from the month of July. This information was given by State Agriculture minister Ravindra Choubey on June 12, 2020. However, no confirmed decision has been made on further processes following admissions.
“It has been decided that the admission process in schools and colleges will commence in Chhattisgarh from July 2020,” Choubey said.
The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education will be releasing the CGBSE Results soon. According to the last update, the evaluation has been completed by the board.
The schools and colleges were closed in the state from March 22, 2020. Recently the university exams were cancelled in the state and the students were being promoted based on previous exams and semesters.
MHRD: Re-opening schools
The Ministry of Human Resources and Development or MHRD has started conducting consultations with the states about the reopening of schools in the country. The government of Chhattisgarh has also been consulted in the same regard.
Agriculture minister Choubey also informed that Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel chaired a meeting of cabinet ministers to discuss the situation arising due to Covid-19 and way forward.
The minister told that there would be many norms regarding social distancing to be followed in the state. For instance, currently, a fine of INR 100 would be levied on those who did not wear a mask.
