Afghanistan: Offensive of Taliban on security service checkpoints left 31 people dead

In Afghanistan, an offensive of the Taliban on security service checkpoints left at least 31 people dead and 12 wounded on both sides in the southern Helmand province.

As per local media, the coordinated Taliban attack took place on Tuesday night and at least two senior Taliban leaders were among those killed.

Afghan National Defense and Security Forces are currently conducting joint operations to combat terrorism across the country.
