After Hadiya, spotlight on other eleven cases probed by NIA

case of Hadiya, who converted to Islam and married Shefin Jahan was propped up as a case of love jihad, even by her parents

Now that the ‘Hadiya’ case is sorted for once and for all, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which examined other so-called cases of “love jihad” at the order of the Supreme Court, has concluded that four of the 11 cases it investigated revealed that Hindu men converted to Islam or were convinced to convert to Islam so that they could marry Muslim women.

The case of Hadiya, who converted to Islam and married Shefin Jahan was propped up as a case of love jihad, even by her parents.

As per the probe of the National Investigation Agency, it emerged that the persons and institutions associated with the Popular Front of India (PFI) were involved in efforts to convert these boys and girls.

This is however contested by Popular Front of India.
