After rape incident, migrant workers from north India rush out of Gujarat

After a rape incident, mass exodus of migrant workers from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar has begun from north Gujarat.

This after the protests broke out over the rape of a 14-month-old baby girl by a man from Bihar last week.

Police has however nabbed the accused of the case.

Police have also gone ahead and nabbed over 150 people have also been arrested for allegedly targeting people, mostly migrant workers, from UP and Bihar.

Police is taking no chances and is patrolling the streets of Sabarkantha where the incident took place.

Protests broke out in Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Patan, Sabarkantha and Mehsana a day after the accused was arrested.

Congress leader Alpesh Thakor, who heads Thakor Sena in Gujarat, has appealed for calm.
