Known for being outspoken, Congress leader Renuka Chowdhury claimed that casting couch culture was not just restricted to the film industry and that Parliament too was affected by it.
The remark comes in wake of Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan saying that that casting couch culture was a way of “livelihood” in the film industry.
Chowdhury added to this and said that even other working places including Parliament are not immune to it.
She further called for India to initiate a Me Too campaign.
It need be mentioned that veteran choreographer Saroj Khan had said that women are not sexually abused and dumped by way of casting couch and that they are given livelihood.>
