Against the perception of hung assembly in Mizoram, the state Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla has said that Congress will retain power this time.

He said that Congress will bag full majority in the election.

The incumbent CM said that party may bag as many as 27 seats.

The claim is against the jinx is that no party in Mizoram was ever voted to power for the third time on the trot.

Opposition Mizo National Front (MNF) president and two-time former Chief Minister, Zoramthanga, was also confident that his party would form the government.

He said the MNF would win seats across the state. He predicted that the polls would not throw up a hung House as being speculated.

Meanwhile, a large number of the nearly 12,000 displaced Bru voters, who are lodged in six relief camps in
Tripura, were transported to Mizoram by the BJP government in Tripura to enable them participate in voting.
