AIIMS doc writes to Minister Ashwini Choubey; blame it on the state rather than patients

One of the AIIMS doctors Dr Shah Alam has written an open letter to the Union Minister of State for health Dr Ashwini Choubey and blamed the lax health setup in some of the states from where the patients are forced to arrive in Delhi.

Actually he was reacting to the Ashwini Choubey statement from some days back when he suggested that it was patients from Bihar who are responsible for overcrowding in AIIMS Delhi.

The statement did not go down well in the many circles of the society including amongst the AIIMS doctors.

Dr Shah Alam said that it was poor health facilities in Bihar that need to be blamed and not the patients themselves.

The statement of Minister Choubey was even criticized across the political spectrum of Bihar and many of the politicians had demanded that he should tender an apology to the people of Bihar.
