In a major development ahead of the crucial state election in Chhattisgarh, the third party led by former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi has bagged an alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party.
The announcement was made by BSP supremo Mayawati who had Ajit Jogi by her side.
It was also announced that former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi will remain CM candidate for the alliance.
It need be mentioned that Congress was earlier being seen as in talks with the BSP for alliance.
But it appears that the talks could not materialize because of which the new alliance was worked out.
This will vastly change the dynamics of the state electoral politics.
So far it has been learnt that Jogi’s party will contest 55 seats out of 90 assembly segments while the BSP will bag 35 seats.>
