All Indians share the same DNA, and cannot be differentiated on the basis of worship,” said columnist Shobhaa De on Monday, at CII Chhattisgarh learning session with Shobhaa De at, Raipur. Wherein the session was aimed to understand about her life experiences, Women and their attitude towards Money, Transparency in investment by Men and Creativity in Business.

The session started with Welcome address by Sandeep Goel, Chairman CII Chhattisgarh State council and Director Bajrang Power & Ispat Ltd wherein he introduced Shobha and briefed about her contribution towards Indian Literature. He also mentioned about her weekly columns in various publication.

“I see no difference between the businessmen from Mumbai and Raipur as both have the hunger to succeed, thrive and grow “said Dey while interacting with Members of CII Chhattisgarh. She further added “We are a very argumentative country. But nothing can keep us down. Free speech is ingrained in every Indian and the advertising industry is brilliant in capturing the zeitgeist. They teach us how we shouldn’t take everything seriously. The senior citizens are no longer becharas , housewives have found a voice. These are sublime messages, but they go a long way in influencing minds,”

The session was moderated by Sandeep Goel, Chairman CII Chhattisgarh along with Sanjay Jain, Panel Convenor, CII Chhattisgarh Agri & Allied Panel. During the interaction De talked about her life experiences, how the youngsters carry the traditional culture. Shobaa also discussed about the women coming forward in the business houses and taking over the legacy of their families. She took an example of the families where financials and investments are not discussed and being transparent with women. While speaking about Marriage she said “Marriage is an adventure, It’s about trust, companionship, affection and sharing. It’s also about learning to cope with your partner’s moods and eccentricities. Not to mention the delicate balancing act between parents, children, friends and a career, and the sometimes overpowering need to get away from it all”

The session was witnessed by large number of participants from the Industry and Female Entrepreneurs of Chhattisgarh. The session ended with formal vote of thanks by Umesh Chitlangia, Vice Chairman, CII Chhattisgarh State Council and Chief Managing Director Polybond Insulation Pvt Ltd.
