Alleging ‘casting couch’; actress protests ‘topless’; taken to police station

the protest did not last long as she was taken to the police station.

It was an apparent protest at the prevailing practice of casting couch in the Telugu film industry.

The Telugu Film Chamber employees may have been used to glamour at their doorstep but they were in for a shock when the well known actress Sri Reddy sat outside protesting ‘topless’there outside the office.

She alleged that she had been asked to send her inappropriate pictures and videos if she at all wanted to get a role in Telugu films.

On the spot, she also threatened to expose names of people who resort to exploit the aspiring actors.

But the protest did not last long as she was taken to the police station.

Police said that she should have lodged complaint with them instead of resorting to such protests.

The actress had posted on her Facebook earlier this week that a rather senior director used to lurk around her house.

But the Telugu film industry has shot back and lodged a complaint against her for making derogatory remarks against the fraternity.
