Amarnath Yatra resumes after weather disrupted it

The Amarnath Yatra resumed after weather cleared up after remaining suspended.

The Yatra had been suspended from Batlal and Pahalgam routes due to heavy rainfall.

It need be mentioned that air sorties are also said to have been resumed from Baltal.

The resumption of Yatra is amid the flood alert in Jammu and Kashmir.

It need be recalled that Amarnath Yatra was suspended due to multiple landslides triggered by heavy rains and bad weather.

The devotees had been withheld due to slippery routes.

The administration prevented the devotees to move to shrine cave from either base camp.

The pilgrims from Batlal route housed in a big hall at Trikri base camp and were also served food.

Over two lakh pilgrims have registered for the annual pilgrimage to the 3,880-metre high cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir Himalayas.
