American killed in North Sentinal island, family has this to say

But the family of the slain American, who has been identified as Allen Chau, have said that they forgive those who were responsible for John Allen Chau’s death

It is almost certain now that the American tourist got killed as he tried to make contact with the Sentinalese people of North Sentinal island, part of Andaman and Nicobar island chain.

It is said that he was killed by a single arrow shot by a tribal.

But the family of the slain American, who has been identified as Allen Chau, have said that they forgive those who were responsible for John Allen Chau’s death.

In a post on John Allen Chau’s Instagram page, the Chau family also called for the release of seven people, who were arrested after the news of the killing of the US missionary came to the fore.

Chau reportedly died around November 17.

As per the local police, the US tourist arranged his trip to the restricted and isolated North Sentinel Island for missionary activities with the help of seven locals including some fishermen.

Notably, this is not the first time when Sentinelese have attacked and killed outsiders.

In 2006, two fishermen were killed when they mistakenly went near the Islands.
