Amid apprehensions of China, India deploys eight warships in Indian Ocean Region
In view of rise in increased Chinese activities in and around India’s territorial waters, the Indian Navy has deployed eight warships around the entry points into the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).
This is aimed at keeping vigilant eye at the adversaries.
It need be mentioned that these deployments also reinforce that the Indian Navy would eventually develop to become net security provider in the IOR.
Indian Navy sources said that they would have eight warships on patrol to keep an eye on the entry points in and around the IOR.
Apart from the warships, it is also the scanning regularly by the P-8Is operating in the region and there is also the Rukmini radar keeping a watch over the area.
There is also the aspect of Maldivian crisis brewing that is being watched closely by India and China.
