Even as the Congress and JDS leaders met the Karnataka Governor in a bid to hand him over the signatures of the MLAs, it is also now being speculated that perhaps BJP may be given first chance to prove their majority on the floor of the house.
Meanwhile, allegations are flying thick both ways as BJP leaders have now alleged that the state government are getting their phones tapped.
Earlier in the day, it was JDS chief Kumaraswamy who alleged that BJP is trying to steal their MLAs and offering them as much as Rs 100 crores apart from a Ministerial berth.
We have sufficient number to form a stable government, reiterates Kumaraswamy after meeting governor.
We will do everything possible to save the democracy, says Congress leader Ashok Gehlot.
We have submitted a list of 117 MLAs to governor and requested him to consider our claim to form govt: Kumaraswamy.>
