With data leaks hounding social media giant, Facebook, its Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg has accepted in a prepared testimony for the US House of Representatives that all of Facebook’s problems are his mistake.
He admitted not doing enough to prevent its tools from being used for harm especially in terms of fake news, foreign interference in elections, hate speech and other such issues.
It need be recalled that Zuckerberg testified to US Congress on Tuesday and Wednesday in the midst of the worst crisis that the Facebook is going through.
Zuckerberg also promises in his testimony that many efforts have been made since the expose to beef up the Facebook’s security.
Facebook came under fire ever since the Cambridge Analytica, a political consultant with ties to President Donald Trump’s campaign, obtained information on as many as 87 million users without their consent.
It need be mentioned that Zuckerberg is also willing to take queries on use of Facebook by Russian operatives to manipulate the 2016 US presidential election.>
