Amid mild rain, CM Raman welcomes President Ram Nath Kovind in Jagdalpur

After a brief stay at airport, President left for Dantewada district

President Mr. Ramnath Kovind has arrived today at Divisional Headquarters Jagdalpur from New Delhi via Indian Air Force aircraft, on two day tour to Dantewada and Bastar districts under Bastar Division of Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh accorded warm welcome to President of India, amid mild rain shower.

After a brief stay at airport, President left for Dantewada district along with Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh via helicopter.

At Jagdalpur airport, Higher Education and Technical Education Minister and Bastar (Jagdalpur) district In-charge Mr. Premprakash Pandey, Forest Minister Mr. Mahesh Gagda, and Bastar MP Mr. Dinesh Kashyap and other senior public representatives were also present to welcome Mr. Kovind.

President was also accorded enthusiastic welcome by Jagdalpur MLA Mr. Santosh Bafna, Chairman Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission Mr. Kamalchandra Bhanjdev, Chairman Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation Mr. Shrinivas Maddi, President Jila Panchayat Mrs. Jabita Mandawi.

Mayor Jagdalpur Municipal Corporation Mr. Jatin Jaiswal, State Government’s Chief Secretary Mr. Ajay Singh, Bastar Division Commissioner Mr. Dileep Vasnikar, Collector Bastar Mr. Dhananjay Dewangan and many other senior administrative officers were present at the airport.
