With the Amarnath Yatra having begun, the Central Reserve Police Force has now opened a help desk at the railway station.

The desk is aimed at facilitating the pilgrims going to the cave shrine of Amarnath located in south Kashmir Himalayas.

The desk has been aptly named as ‘Madadgaar’ (helper) and has been instituted at platform number one on Jammu-Tawi Railway Station.

It would provide all kinds of guidance to pilgrims coming from various parts of the country.

CRPF has said that the help desk is to remain functional round-the-clock while two personnel of the force would be made available to pilgrims for assistance.

It need be mentioned that this year itself, the CRPF also has introduced a special motorcycle squad keeping in view the security of pilgrims.

The CRPF performs multi-dimensional roles.
