It appears that the BJP is apprehensive of the rising fuel prices and the resentment it is creating in the masses.
This is reflected from the the statement of the BJP president Amit Shah.
He said that central government will soon come out with a solution to rising petrol and diesel prices.
He was interacting with the media persons in Hyderabad when he added that the government was equally worried over the rising fuel prices as well as dipping rupee value.
Amit Shah went ahead and blamed the international developments for two concerns though.
It need be mentioned that petrol and diesel prices have scaled new highs since mid-August due to a combination of a dip in rupee value against the US dollar and the rise in crude oil prices.
The Opposition parties led by Congress had on September 10 called for a nationwide shutdown to protest against the escalating prices of fuel and other essential items.>
