The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 75.96 points down at 36,355.71 on Friday on account of selling in front line blue chip counters.
Shares of A F Enterprises (up 19.30 per cent) , Amrutanjan Healthcare (up 15.56 per cent) , Motor General Finance (up 15.36 per cent) , Dhoot Industries (up 15.18 per cent), Arshiya (up 13.13 per cent), Punjab Sind Bank (up 10.52 per cent), Shree Rama Multi-Tech (up 9.97 per cent), Arrow Green-tech (up 9.97 per cent)
Amrutanjan Healthcare surged in early trade despite an otherwise very weak market. Some reports indicate that the company may be planning a business re-jig exercise, where the snacks business may be demerged out into a separate company and marquee investors may come in the main business.
Shipping Corporation OF India (up 6.55 per cent), Navkar Corporation (up 5.58 per cent) and CG Power (up 5.35 per cent)too were trading around 5-6 per cent higher at around the same time.
