As many as 59 naxals surrender before police in Chhattisgarh’s restive area

first reason could be their willingness to return to the mainstream of the society

Amid frequent attacks from the red rebels in restive areas of Chhattisgarh, police have scored a major success with as many as 59 naxals opting to surrender before the police in the Errabore police station.

The police station is in Sukma district, one of the worst affected districts of Chhattisgarh in terms of naxal violence.

As to what could be reason behind the surrender of these many naxals, the first reason could be their willingness to return to the mainstream of the society.

They must also have assessed the futility of the ongoing violent campaigns as it is not leading anywhere.

The naxals have surrendered before the Bastar Range senior police officials.

There are large number of women cadres as well in the surrendered lot.

Police officials said that their anti-naxal drive has also left rebels baffled and thus many of them have surrendered.
