Avalokana software launched by CM Yediyurappa is transparent e-governance tool

In Karnataka, Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa launched Avolokana software today that will enable the government to access data on sanctions and expenditures incurred by 39 departments on 1,800 programmes implemented by them.

Holding a meeting with District Deputy Commissioners and Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officers in Bengaluru today, the Chief Minister also unveiled Karnataka statistics on Development programmes for the year 2019-20.

AIR correspondent reports that the Avalokana software launched by the Chief Minister today is a transparent e-governance tool that will provide Assembly constituency-wise release of Government grants and allocations under different development programmes. Going by which the Government can decide on releasing funds depending on the expenditure incurred by the department. This will provide Government hold over resources.

The software provides focused eye view on Sustainable Development goals, Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan, Tribal Sub-plan and Centrally Sponsored Schemes.

The Chief Minister issued directions today to the Deputy Commissioners of each district to the data in the software at regular intervals.
