Advance Booking Avengers : Infinity War Hits a New High in the US

Avengers: Infinity War is already shattering various records

Avengers: Infinity War is just three days away from its release. The biggest crossover event in the history of cinema deserves the kind of attention its fans are showering it with.

With Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy coming together to fight the mighty Thanos. you can’t expect the Marvel fans to stay calm.

After speculating the deaths of their various superheroes, fans went crazy when the movie’s tickets went on sale on March 16. Online ticketing website, Fandango even reported how the Infinity War tickets’ sale is already way ahead that the previous seven Marvel movies combined.

And going by the latest reports, more than 1,000 of Infinity War showtimes have already been sold out in the USA.

After such a high demand and the craze surrounding the biggest superhero movie of all time, theatre owners are even considering adding more show times, including a 3:05 a.m.

Friday morning showing in New York. Ironically, the February released, Black Panther, was Fandango’s best selling superhero movie in the pre sales category. However, Avengers: Infinity War was successful in breaking the same Black Panther record within six hours.

At present Infinity War is selling twice as many tickets as Black Panther at the same point in its sales cycle. With this, Marvel is on pace to outdo its own superhero hit that witnessed a global success since the time of its release.

If all goes well, Marvel Studios’ latest blockbuster has a chance of toppling the biggest opening of all time, $248 million, currently held by Disney’s own Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Fandango managing editor, Erik Davis, said. “Moviegoers are rushing to guarantee their seats in advance for what is sure to be one of the most talked-about movies of the decade.”

While the makers have already teased us by saying that we’ll need lots of tissues, we can’t wait for it to shatter all the records at the box office. Currently Black Panther is the third highest grosser at the US Box office after Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Avatar.

With Infinity War hitting the screens in coming weeks, we can wonder if it can outdo all the previous held records and emerge as the most successful superhero movie.
