Badminton legend Prakash Padukone’s elder daughter, Deepika Padukone has played the sport at national level.
Badminton star PV Sindhu wants actress Deepika Padukone to star in a biopic on her life, if it’s ever made.
Sindhu, who made the nation proud by becoming the first Badminton player to secure a gold at the World Championship, expressed her desire of filming Deepika Padukone in her biopic.
“I would definitely want Deepika Padukone to play the character. She has played the game and is a good actor too. But then, the makers would take the final decision,” Sindhu said.
For the unversed, Deepika is Badminton legend Prakash Padukone’s elder daughter and has played the sport at national level.
Actor Sonu Sood recently bagged the rights to make a biopic on PV Sindhu. According to reports, Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play Sindhu’s coach Pullela Gopichand.
Deepika Padukone, meanwhile, will be seen in another sport-based movie ’83’. She is playing the role of Romi, Kapil Dev’s wife in the Kabir Khan directorial. She will also be seen portraying acid attack survivour Laxmi in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak.
