Bihar: Aadhar card made mandatory for Covid-19 vaccination

Health Minister Mangal Pandey said this step has been taken to check testing fraud of Covid -19 vaccination and transparency.

In Bihar, Aadhar card has been made mandatory for Covid-19 vaccination in the state. Beneficiaries have now to certify their Aadhar number during registration of vaccination.

Health Minister Mangal Pandey said this step has been taken to check testing fraud of Covid -19 vaccination and transparency.

Mr Pandey said district administration has been instructed in this regard. The state government has started administering second dose of Covid-19 vaccines to healthcare workers from today.

Meanwhile four lakh 92 thousand 321 health care and frontline workers have been vaccinated so far. No side effect of the vaccine has been reported from any part of the state.

Two lakh 59 thousand 591 patients have recovered from the COVID-19 infection in state so far. COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 99.18 percent in Bihar. This is 1.77 percent more than of national average.

The number of active cases is continuously declining. Currently, only 624 patients are receiving treatment at various hospitals. No positive case has been reported from 30 districts. Over two crore 19 lakh Corona tests have been conducted in the state so far.
