Bihar Board 10th result declared

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Thursday declared result of class 10th. Only 50.12 percentage students passed the examination. Prem Kumar of Lakhisarai district topped this examination while Bhavya Kumari and Harshita kumari of Simultalla School got the second and third position respectively.
Before declaration of result toppers were called to Boards office for verification of their documents and practical knowledge. The BSEB is also learned to have checked the status and infrastructure of their schools.
As per information received, the BSEB has taken precautions to avoid the kind of controversies that marred the class XII (Arts) results for the last two years.
Releasing the list the BSEB chairman Anand Kishore said over 17 lakh 23 thousand students appeared for class 10th examination this year. The Board also released a list of top ten scorers who would be rewarded.
The first, second and third toppers will get Rs. one lakh, Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000 respectively along with a laptop, e-book and stationeries.
Those obtaining fourth to tenth positions will get Rs. 10,000 and a laptop each.
