Police in Bihar’s Aurangabad district have nabbed a naxal leader.
Local police sources informed that the special police team was tipped off on presence of this naxal leader.
He has been described as self-styled commander of CPI(Maoist) and was nabbed yesterday near a brick kiln in the district, as per police.
Police had earlier been informed that many naxals could have gathered at the spot and the police team was dispatched promptly.
It was said that one of the teams thereafter managed to arrest the self-styled commander.
The arrested leftwing extremist has been identified as Sarju Ram, a resident of Banahi village in Pouthu police station area of the district, police informed.
Sarju Ram, a history-sheeter, has several criminal cases filed against him in Goh and Bandeya police stations.>
