Raipur: Two friends returning to their home at Mandir Hasaud riding a bike were robbed of cash and mobile phones by three knife-wielding robbers in Atal Nagar area on Sunday afternoon. The robbers soon fled from the spot on their bike whose registration number was luckily remembered by the complainant. Based on this information, police have now launched a hunt to nab those three robbers.
According to police, complainant Pritam Shailik of Mandir Hasaud was returning to his home along with a friend riding his bike on Sunday afternoon after completing their work in Raipur. However, at about 1:30 pm while they were nearby Sardar Petrol Pump in Atal Nagar, three youths riding a Bajaj Pulsar bike overtook them and instantly blocked their way forcing them to halt.
With Pritam stopping his bike, all three of them surrounded the two friends and instantly placed knives on them and snatched all cash, mobile phones and ATM cards from them. Immediately afterwards, they fled from spot on their bike but Pritam managed to remember its registration number CG07-DT-1579 which he later informed Rakhi police while registering his complaint there. Police have since registered an offence under Section 394 IPC against all three unidentified robbers and has now launched a hunt to nab them.
