Ahead of the national election, it has emerged that the ruling BJP is the leading television advertiser brand, ahead of even most corporates.
It emerged that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been ranked as India’s leading television advertising brand by the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC).
It was informed that BJP had 22,099 TV ads between 12-16 November this year, which was almost 10,000 more than Netflix, standing in the second position.
The party is currently facing elections in five states including Chattisgarh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Mizoram.
This comes as sharp contrast as the Congress, the lead opposition party is not even on the top-ten list.
According to the BARC list, BJP was followed by Netflix with 12,951 ads, Trivago (12,795), Santoor Sandal (11,222) and Dettol Liquid Soap (9,487).>
