With voting dates out for parliamentary election, it is learnt that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may decide to change all of its 10 Members of Parliament hailing from Chhattisgarh state.
It need be mentioned that BJP lost miserably to Congress in the recent assembly election and the party will require a lot of effort to get back up.
As per media sources, the decision was taken in the party’s Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting held at the party headquarters in New Delhi.
It is to be noted that the sitting MPs also include former state chief minister Raman Singh’s son Abhishek Singh.
The recent development indicates BJP’s attempt to come back to power in the state and snatch its lost territory from Congress.
BJP’s CEC met earlier today to discuss and finalise the list of candidates for Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah, Union Ministers, Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari, and Rajnath Singh.
