BJP Member of Parliament makes case for Lord Buddha at Ayodhya disputed site

She argued that thus a statue of Lord Buddha should be installed at the site

At a time when focus is on the Ayodhya for Ram Janma Bhoomi issue, Savitribai Phule who is the BJP MP from Bahraich has called for installing a statue of Lord Buddha at the disputed site.

She claimed that said that excavations carried out at the disputed site in Ayodhya on the directions of the high court had found certain things associated with Lord Buddha.

She argued that thus a statue of Lord Buddha should be installed at the site.

She was addressing media persons when she made a statement to this effect.

Phule also said that India is a secular country according to its Constitution which has given equal guarantee of security to all religions.

Phule’s statement comes at a time when right-wing organisations have renewed the demand for construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya.
