With Congress leader and former Minister Salman Khurshid making the admission that ‘Congress has blood on its hands’, politics is sure to heat up.
While very many see it as an embarrassment to the party itself, it need be known that the comment was made when a former student of Aligarh Muslim University raised the issue of massacre of Muslims in Muzaffarnagar, Maliana, Meerut, Hashimpura, Bhagalpur, Moradabad, and Aligarh riots besides Babri Masjid demolition.
Khurshid said that the people need to learn from these mistakes.
However, the former Union Minister said that he was actually defending his party.
He said that whatever he said was in the capacity of a human being.
In response to Khurshid’s admission, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) ideologue and Delhi University professor Rakesh Sinha accused the Congress of doing vote-bank and appeasement politics.>
