A 14-year-old boy from Srinagar has had a robotic hand implanted in the national capital and now hopes to lead a normal life.

It need be mentioned that the teen had lost his right hand last year in a grenade blast.

At the time, he was returning from his coaching classes in Kashmir.

Identified as Sahil, he was getting into a state of depression after the mishap and that s when his father decided to visit Delhi and get his son a prosthetic hand.

The boy from Hazratbal area was injured when a grenade exploded during a cross-firing on January 24, 2017.

The boy was fitted with a hand which was developed indigenously for him.

The robotic hand cost the family approximately Rs 50,000.

After the implant, Sahil is more than happy and has returned to his home in Kashmir.
