While the connectivity is considered crucial for stepping up commercial ties, the Brussels Airlines has decided to stop flights between India and Belgium for purely for economic reasons.
The suspension of flight came about just one-and-a-half years after launching services from the Belgian capital to Mumbai.
The airline is owned by Deutsche Lufthansa AG which would operate its last flight from Mumbai to Brussels on January 7, as per information.
It is operating direct flights between Mumbai and Brussels.
The airline increased the services to six flights a week on this route.
Initially, it was five times a week.
The flight capacity would be utilized to serve its African network.
The airline said customers who are booked on its flights to or from Mumbai after January 7 are being contacted and offered alternative travel solutions.>
