Amid the spotlight on Bulandshahr violence, Yogesh Raj, the prime accused in the Bulandshahr violence that took place on December 3, Raj on Wednesday released a video stating that he was innocent.
This is even when the Uttar Pradesh police claims to be on the look out for Yogesh Raj.
“I deeply regret the violence that broke out in Siyana… I have been wrongly framed… I was not present when the violence broke out. I am sure God will ensure that I get justice,” Raj, who is the district convenor of Bajrang Dal in Bulandshahr, said in the video.
It also needs to be mentioned that co-convenor of Bajrang Dal in Bulandshahr, Praveen Bhati, said that Raj will
come out from hiding whenever the law demands so.
However, he also said that they have no idea of his whereabouts.
Police inspector Subodh Kumar and a local villager Sumit were killed in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday in the violence that broke out after cow carcasses were found strewn in the jungle.
Earlier, there were conflicting reports on how Inspector Subodh Kumar was killed.
The First Information Report has mentioned Yogesh Raj, reportedly a senior Bajrang Dal leader who had earlier filed an FIR alleging cow slaughter, as the main accused in the case. >
