‘Burning of govt documents’ in Cgarh, now Chief Secy issues an order

Taking cognizance of many cases where government files were being burnt since election results came to fore, the Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary has issued directives in this regard.

It need be mentioned that reports of burning of files from sensitive departments including that of home and others had been coming in.

The CM in his first press conference also faced a query in this regard.

It is said that the government wants to warn the officials and others indulging in such unauthorized destruction of files and thus an order has been issued.

CS Ajay Singh, in his order, stated that destruction of government documents is undertaken as per laid down guidelines and those must be followed.

Any hurried destruction of such files raises suspicion, stated the order.
