Cabinet Committee meeting; representations to be considered on compulsory retirement

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh chaired a crucial cabinet meeting where in a major decision was taken.

It was decided that committees will be constituted to consider representations from government servants in cases compulsory retirement.

It need be mentioned that government servants who have achieved age of 50 yrs or have completed 20 yrs of service and are being retired compulsorily will have option of representation.

A circular in this regard will also be issued.

The circular will entail that a representation committee will be formed to consider representations from heads of departments and gazetted officers as well government staffers.

The representation for heads of departments will be considered at the committee headed by Chief Secretary which would also include Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary of the finance department and General Administration Department, Legal department Principal Secretary.

Again the cabinet decided that representations from class I and II officers will be considered by a committed headed by Additional Chief Secretary nominated by Chief Secretary.

This committee would also have principal secretary/ secretary of concerned department and that of GAD as co-conveners.

Likewise, for representation from class III and IV employees, a committee headed by Secretary of GAD.
