After the announcement by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh of regularization of Shikshakarmis, it is now known that crucial cabinet meeting has been scheduled for June 18.
In all likelihood, the cabinet committee would approve the regularization of Shikshakarmis.
The Shikshakarmis meanwhile are waiting for the details to come out so that they then make an assessment as to how far their demands have been met.
It is estimated that the decision would cost the exchequer around Rs 1700-2200 crores.
The regularization of Shikshakarmis has been longstanding demand for the contractual teachers of the Chhattisgarh and their hopes went up after the same happened in neighboring Madhya Pradesh.
It is also speculated that supplementary budget may still be presented in the Chhattisgarh Assembly’s monsoon session itself.>
