CAG brings out glaring irregularities in Chhattisgarh, know more

In the press conference of the Comptroller and Auditor General, the Principal Accountant General Vijay Mohanty pointed out many lapses that had emerged inthe social sectors.

Mohanty noted that irregularities such as 21 such schools that never existed have been unravelled.

It had emerged that SC-ST scholarships for school students in these non existent schools were being withdrawn regularly.

The CAG, he said, has ordered a recovery of Rs 1.4 crores in the case apart from registration of FIR against the guilty.

The irregularities have also emerged in the inflated figures of the transport allowance within the Raipur based Ravi Shankar University.
