The much awaited CBSE Class X Results have finally been declared.
While the results have been declared at least three hours in advance, the results have revealed that the overall pass percentage is 86.7 percent.
In so far as the toppers are concerned, The toppers include Prakhar Mittal from DPS, Gurgaon, Rimzhim Agarwal from R P Public School, Bijnor, Nandini Garg from Scottish International School, Shamli, and Sreelakshmi G from Bhavan’s Vidyalaya, Cochin.
All of these four toppers have scored 499 out of the 500 marks.
Girls have yet again outshined boys with 88.67 pass percentage while the pass percentage for boys is 85.32 per cent.
The top three regions are Thiruvananthapuram with 99.60 pass percentage, Chennai with 97.37 pass percentage, and Ajmer with 91.86 pass percentage.
The performance of candidates in foreign schools category is 98.32 per cent.
In the differently abled category, the toppers are Anushka Panda from Suncity Gurgaon school with 489 marks, Sanya Gandhi from Uttam School in Ghaziabad with 489 marks and Sonya Deep Pradhan with 484 marks from JNV Dhanpur, Odisha.
A total of 1624682 students appeared for the exam of which 14,08,594 passed taking the overall pass percentage to 86.70 per cent.
The CBSE exams for both Class 10 and 12 were marred by controversy this year with question paper leaks being reported from various states across India.
Meanwhile, the HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar conveyed extended greeting to the candidates who cleared the exam.
